Raw egg hot chocolate

Ingredients

  • 3 cups hot water, tea, or coffee
  • 4 raw eggs
  • 1–2 tbsp cacao powder (or substitute shilajit for a low oxalate version)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Honey (to taste)
  • Vanilla (to taste)
  • Gelatin powder (optional)
  • Chunks of grass-fed, organic, high omega-3 butter

Directions

  1. Brew your hot beverage.
  2. Crack the raw eggs into a wide-mouth mason jar.
  3. Add cacao powder, gelatin powder (optional), and vanilla.
  4. Pour the hot beverage over the mixture.
  5. Seal the lid tightly and shake vigorously until the eggs dissolve and the drink becomes frothy.
  6. Add raw honey to taste (adding it last prevents overheating).
  7. Add chunks of grass-fed butter.
  8. Drink and enjoy.
